Traveling and getting away from everything somehow puts me in my place in the world.
It reminds me of the little things -- actually, the things that matter the most in life. Forget the drama, the headaches and heartaches that come along with it, not getting the grade you wanted in a certain class, traveling for two days because Delta airlines can't get it right, peoples' imperfections, what you see on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc., he said she said nonsense, an ex that doesn't know how to let it go, not having a job, always feeling completely off the edge all the time, losing and breaking relationships, etc. etc.

... because all that matters is that you somehow have an idea of what direction you're going and you're happy with it. I'm looking at the whole here -- the end product, because I know at the end I'm still who I am and that I have not lost sight of that.

Seeing old buildings, statues, man-made cities, cobble stone roads, old towns that are preserved encourages me want to change something in this world. If it wasn't for that one architect, that one artist, that one engineer, or that one president or prime minister beautiful cities like London, Amsterdam, Brussels, or Guernsey wouldn't be for tourists like me to enjoy. Not even just one person, but  a community of people that join together that could make and preserve something as beautiful as Amsterdam's canals, Gustav Vigeland's Status Park in Norway, the Little Mermaid Statue in Copenhagen, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, the Atomium in Brussels, Viking Ships, The Little Pee Boy in Belgium, Castles in Guernsey, &everything that I saw. &to enjoy and indulge in food like Belgian waffles & chocolate, crepes in France, Beef wellington, SALMON, champagne on the daily, &even cruise food. It also made me realize that maybe I do like history... a little bit. I love knowing that people, or human beings -- imperfect human beings are able to make amazing things happens. I like knowing that somehow despite all the issues, controversies, wars, debates, &all of the above that some things always get done. That we still get something right even if it's not as easy as we thought it would be.

& if you look at the end of the day, the world is still a beautiful place to live in.
